Speaker's Bio: 

Asad Islam is a computer scientist with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has been leading a team since 2009 that is developing and supporting a freeware suite of tools known as Epi Info. These tools are being used worldwide for rapid epidemiologic data collection and analysis during disease outbreaks (including the current Ebola outbreak). Asad has a B.S. in Computer Science from Rutgers University and an M.S. in Information Systems from Boston University. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds various technical certifications.
