IoT started on the consumer side: watches, Nest, smart cars, travel experiences. Now it is a major game changer in the enterprise – not just isolated projects but permeating across entire value chains – from building the product to the customer experience and how products get delivered. What are the key drivers for enterprise IoT? How do we generate value in the enterprise?

Speaker's Bio:

Ravishankar Chamarajnagar has been involved in enterprise architectures and networking systems since 1996. While at Novell, he was involved in the early implementations of the NDS directory on UnixWare. He was instrumental in developing application-oriented networking (AON) at Cisco Systems, which changed the network paradigm from hardware-based infrastructure to software applications, and rode the Internet bubble at Inktomi, driving innovations in caching. He holds an M.S. in Computer Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University. His areas of focus at UT were network processors and fault tolerance of distributed systems, with seminal contributions to a fault-tolerant layer in message-passing systems. In addition to leading some of the flagship products at AirWatch for the last few years, he has been investigating key areas of focus for VMware in the Internet of Things.
